How long have you been working with Koenigsegg?
I started in December 2018.
Where are you from, and how did you end up where you are at in Koenigsegg?
I’m from Iceland and I moved to Sweden in 2016 for a Masters in control engineering.
Working for Koenigsegg has been a dream of mine since my early 20s, when I watched a documentary on YouTube showing the passion, dedication and innovative spirit that drives the company. A factory tour in 2016 confirmed my aspirations and a couple of years later, an opportunity came my way when they were looking for an embedded team member, where my experience and education were a fit.
What do you do at Koenigsegg?
I work as a software engineer. My responsibilities mainly revolve around services connected to the cars, but at Koenigsegg, technological development evolves at a rate that can sometimes outpace your scope of work – and that’s what makes things really exciting.
What is the most challenging part of your work?
The greatest challenge is to find the time to implement everything we want to do. There are so many ideas circulating in the company and plans can change very quickly.
What do you like most about working at Koenigsegg?
The level of innovation within these walls is just mind-blowing. Creative ideas are embraced here and everyone is given equal opportunity to make a real difference in automotive history together with Koenigsegg. Additionally, there is an extremely high density of highly skilled and experienced people from around the world and it is a privilege to work in an environment like that.
